As an intern at Siren you’ll support critical functions of our mission and begin to create content while learning an immense amount about building brands, communicating strategically, and contributing valuably to a growing team.

Required qualifications:
- General knowledge of, and previous exposure to, three of Siren’s core service areas: strategic communication, media relations and social media
- Knowledge of press writing
- Experience producing social media content for brands

STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION
- Gain a knowledge of Siren’s approach to strategic communication and be able to discuss the process with internal and external audiences
- Contribute to the data collection and analysis used in impact reporting
SOCIAL MEDIA
- Contribute to strategy for social media campaigns
- Assist in creating visual and written content for Siren and/or Siren clients
- Utilize software systems to schedule, post, and boost social media content
- Interact with brands on social media and monitor comments/inbox
MEDIA RELATIONS
- Utilize Cision software to compile media lists for distributing press releases and pitches
- Assist in developing copy for media campaigns
- Take responsibility for media monitoring across Siren’s client base, utilizing Critical Mention software
- Develop same-day, monthly, and yearly media reports for Siren clients
ADMINISTRATION
- Clearly communicate your needs, challenges you perceive, and status of your work to Siren team members
- Communicate clearly and professionally with Siren clients
- Maintain timely activity reports and time entry
- Meet deadlines and deliver quality work product
- Support the company through various administrative tasks
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
- Part-time, 1099 position
- Pay rate estimated at $15-18 per hour, subject to determination based on qualifications
