Situation
Cranbrook Institute of Science launched an event in 2018 to celebrate women in STEAM and raise funds for STEAM education in underserved classrooms. As the Institute’s agency of record Siren was charged with leading communication and marketing strategy to fuel the event’s growth.
Solution
Since 2018 Siren developed a strategic communication plan on a PESO model, activating each channel to elevate the profile of the event.
During the pandemic when Women Rock Science pivoted to a virtual event, Siren activated video storytelling with Elkhorn Entertainment to highlight the women being honored and showcase the educational impact of funds raised.
Our Director of Communication Strategy, Kristen Bujold, serves on the Women Rock Science host committee with local female philanthropists, ensuring their priorities are met through the event’s communication and marketing strategy.
Results
Since its inception in 2018 Women Rock Science has raised 1M+ for STEAM education and integrated communication and marketing has played a critical role in event growth.
